About Student Affairs

IIIT Bhagalpur campus provides an ideal setting for students to participate in recreational and extracurricular activities. The office of the Student Affairs provides ample scope, opportunities and facilities for the all-round development of personality and leadership qualities among the students. Students participate effectively in the management of hostels, food services, games & sports, cultural and literary activities, professional societies in each School under the guidance of faculty coordinator.

The office of Student Affairs acts as a nodal center to promote cooperation and fellowship among students on campus. It is actively involved in coordinating activities for the welfare of students. Taking into account their difficulties and socio-economic diversities, it provides them facilities to articulate their creativity and aspirations. It aims at social harmony and campus peace. Students are encouraged to give expression to their talents and improve campus life besides pursuing their academic targets. The office also makes arrangements for the residence, messing, transport, supervision and discipline of students residing in the Institute hostels.

Welcome to IIIT Bhagalpur! I am sure you are as excited as I felt 03 years ago. You must be looking forward to reach here and start your wonderful and exciting journey. You have indeed chosen one of the finest academic institutes in this country with a heritage to be proud of. It is my pleasure to assure you that you are about to embark on a special voyage that will present you with some of the best moments you ever lived through. You will cherish this for the rest of your life.

The Campus being little away from city, it offers you an ambience full of warmth and conducive to your academic and personality development pursuits. The Campus is lush green and spread out with mango trees. Efforts are continually made to enhance the quality of student life that you are going to be part of very soon.

I sincerely hope that along with your studies, you will actively participate in one or more activities of your choice which keep happing over the year. As you know, the goal is to be a well-developed personality and a responsible citizen as you graduate as an IIITian. Your stay in a hostels will make you a member of the hall fraternity. You will cherish it the most in later years, when you meet a fellow IITian from your hall. Many of you will be stepping out of your home to stay and take care of yourself without the loving & caring parental assistance for the first time. You will enjoy the fresh air of freedom but some may find it difficult to cope up with. In such a situation please do not feel embarrassed, do not hesitate, but contact us. Certainly together we shall be able to tide over whatever difficulty you may have.

I would also like to request you to take note of the rules and regulations that exist for all of us here at IIIT Bhagalpur. You know, rules & regulations are made to bring about a discipline in the way one leads one's life. They are not made to curtail your freedom and bound you, but they are put in place to guide you in the path that will take you to the goal we have already mentioned.
