1. How to reach Bhagalpur?
Bhagalpur city is well connected by air, rail, and road with the rest of the country.
Three nearest airports namely,
I. Deoghar Airport known as Baba Baidyanath Airport, Deoghar, Jharkhand
II. Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport Patna, Bihar
III. Bagdogra Airport, Siliguri, West Bengal
IV. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport Kolkata, West Bengal.
The above airports are 134 KM, 235 KM, 245 KM and 435 KM respectively away from Bhagalpur city respectively.
Large number of directs Mail or Express trains are available to and fro all the metropolis and other major cities from Bhagalpur Junction and Naugachia Junction.
One can also easily reach Bhagalpur city by road taking cab or bus via NH 19 and NH 114 from different city of the country.
2.How to reach IIIT Bhagalpur?
IIIT Bhagalpur has three nearest railway stations namely:
i. Sabour Railway Station,
ii. Bhagalpur Junction (Railway station)
iii. Naugachia Railway Station
Sabour Railway Station is 2 KM away from the Institute which is the nearest railway station, it takes hardly 10 to 15 minutes to reach IIIT Bhagalpur campus. One can also reach campus by taking auto, taxi etc. which generally takes around 30-40 minutes and costing around Rs 30-50/- per person (shared) or Rs 200/- (Individual) from popular railway junction Bhagalpur and Naugachia. A good convenience transportation facility of auto, taxi is available for 24 HRS. The institute is planning to provide a bus service regularly to and fro from the city in the upcoming days.
3.What about the hostel facilities for students?
Separate hostels are available for Boys and Girls students inside the campus of IIIT Bhagalpur. Two boys’ hostels are available for boys with mess facilities are provided in the same building. Also, 24 HRS high speed wi-fi facilities are available for students in the hostel. Similarly, for girls students’ hostel are available in the campus of Bhagalpur Engineering College which is less than 100 meters from the academic building of IIIT Bhagalpur. Mess and Wi-Fi facilities are available in the hostel. A new girls hostel is almost ready for the girls students for IIIT Bhagalpur.
4. What accommodation is provided to the guest members?
Two guest houses for temporary accommodation are available for IIIT Bhagalpur visitors and faculty members. The old guest house is on the Bhagalpur Engineering College campus. The brand-new nine guest rooms are available on the ground floor of the new boys' hostel on the campus. The new guest rooms are equipped with 24-hour Wi-Fi access and AC. There is a daily minimum fee for a guest's room to stay there. Quarters for faculties and staffs will be handed over soon.
5. Which banks have their branches near to IIIT Bhagalpur?
UCO Bank is a bank on the campus of IIIT Bhagalpur with ATM facilities. State Bank of India, Canara Bank, and Axis Bank Branches are located close to IIIT Bhagalpur. State Bank of India ATM is also available in the academic complex of IIIT Bhagalpur.
6. Where is the Indian Post office near IIIT Bhagalpur?
There is an Indian Post Office on the IIIT Bhagalpur campus near the main Gate of BCE.
